Bundle ID: com.noltis.pldff
Last updated: September 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Noltis (“the App”) handles information when you use the iOS application. Noltis is an AI Micro Habitat Studio. It turns a photo of a real corner, shelf, or tabletop into a miniature habitat AI preview. Previews are inspiration only. They are not horticulture, pet-care, electrical, or construction advice.

1. Who we are

Noltis is provided as a lifestyle / utility studio on iPhone. We do not operate a public social network, feed, or companion chat. Studio history, notes, and previews stay on your device unless you choose to send a photo to the third-party image model described in Section 5.

2. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following locally (primarily in iOS UserDefaults and the App’s documents folder). This data is not uploaded to a Noltis account server — Noltis has no cloud login.

Category Examples
Session Quick Login username and password generated on device, login / logout flags
Profile Display name, optional profile photo you pick
Studio Habitat style choice, source photo copies, generated preview images, captions / notes you type or dictate
Desk tools Field Notes, Inspiration Board pins, Preview Plans, Studio Tasks
Economy Spore balance and a local Spore ledger
Preferences Appearance (Light / Dark / System), first-generate photo consent flag, first-Studio permission flags

We do not ask for your real name, email, phone number, or payment card. Support email you send to hello@noltis.app is received only if you choose to write us.

3. Permissions

The App requests system permissions only when you use the related control, except App Tracking Transparency and notifications, which appear automatically the first time you open Studio after login.

Permission When Why
Camera You tap capture on Create Preview or Edit Profile Photograph a shelf, desk, or corner for an AI habitat preview, or update a profile photo
Photo Library You pick an existing image Choose a space photo for a preview or a profile photo. The App does not write images into Photos
Microphone You tap dictation on Create Preview or Field Notes Capture a short spoken note
Speech Recognition Same dictation flow Convert speech to text for captions and Field Notes
Tracking (ATT) First open of Studio System tracking dialog. See Section 7
Notifications Immediately after ATT on first Studio System notification dialog only. The App does not schedule or handle notification payloads

There is no in-app permission manager, no “Enable Notifications” button, and no Restore Purchases control.

4. Facial data

This chapter is written so App Store Review can cite collection, use, disclosure / sharing, and retention of facial data under Guideline 2.1 and 5.1.1.

4.1 What is collected

Noltis does not collect biometric faceprints, Face ID templates, facial geometry, or a face-recognition database.

The App may process photographs that happen to depict a human face if:

Those images are ordinary camera or library photos. The App does not run a face-detection, face-matching, or identity API.

4.2 Planned use

If a photo contains a face, Noltis uses it only as:

The App does not use faces to identify people, unlock the device, moderate users, target ads, or build a social graph.

4.3 Sharing, disclosure, and where stored

4.4 Retention

4.5 This chapter is the explanation

Section 4 (including §4.1–§4.5) is the complete explanation of how Noltis collects, uses, discloses, shares, and retains facial data. Noltis does not collect biometric identifiers. Any face that appears is incidental to a user-chosen photograph.

5. Third-party AI image generation

Noltis is an AI package. Habitat previews are produced by a third-party generative image API, not by a private on-device model.

Item Detail
Provider Agnes AI

Model agnes-image-2.1-flash
Mode Image-to-image (your photo as the visual reference)

5.1 User data sent to the AI provider (exactly)

When you confirm generate (after the in-app photo-use consent, and only on a successful user-initiated run):

  1. Reference image — a compressed JPEG of the photo you captured or picked (may include whatever is in frame: furniture, plants, and possibly a face or body).
  2. Text prompt — assembled on device from: habitat style label and look, growth level, water-presence wording, whether to keep furniture, an instruction if you marked a preserve-object rectangle, and any user note you typed or dictated.

5.2 User data not sent to the AI provider

The App does not send: Quick Login credentials, Spore balance or ledger, Field Notes / Inspiration / Plans / Tasks as a dataset, microphone audio files, speech audio as a clip (only the resulting text if you put it in the note), IDFA, contacts, precise location, or other photos sitting unused in History.

5.3 What comes back

The provider returns a generated still (typically image bytes). Noltis stores that still locally as an AI preview, labeled as such. Generation is atmospheric mock imagery. It is not a statement that plants, animals, or installations in the preview are real, safe, or recommended.

5.4 Your choices

6. Speech recognition

Dictation uses Apple’s Speech framework plus the microphone. Audio may be processed by Apple to return text, according to Apple’s privacy terms. Noltis keeps the transcript (and, for Field Notes, a local recording echo you can play or delete). We do not send the audio file to Agnes AI.

7. Tracking and notifications

App Tracking Transparency. On the first Studio (Home) open after login, iOS may show the system tracking dialog. The App calls ATTrackingManager.requestTrackingAuthorization. Noltis does not currently attach a third-party advertising or analytics SDK that reads the advertising identifier. The dialog is presented so the system permission is requested as required for this build.

Notifications. After the tracking dialog returns, the App requests notification authorization (alert, badge, sound). The App does not implement a notification delegate, does not route payloads, and does not offer an extra “Enable Notifications” control.

8. In-App Purchases

Spores are a virtual studio currency. You buy gift-pack / chest style packs through Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit). Apple processes payment. Noltis never sees or stores card numbers.

Pack titles shown in the shop include Seedling Gift Pack, Moss Gift Pack, Terrarium Treasure Chest, Greenhouse Bundle, Glasshouse Treasure Chest, Conservatory Bundle, Habitat Premium Chest, and Studio Grand Chest. There is no Restore Purchases control. Unused Spores have no cash value. Apple’s refund rules apply.

9. Retention, logout, and deletion

10. Children

Noltis is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided data, contact hello@noltis.app and we will help you delete the local App data.

11. Sale of personal data

We do not sell your personal information.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
